'Bubblegum' by Models Own

Apologies for two Models Own review posts in a row but I'm just obsessed at the moment! I really do love my neon nails and the ice collection at Models Own are just perfect. And they're matte, and I do love a good matte nail varnish. So this colour is 'Bubblegum' which is a proper neon pink, there is really no other way to describe it. It only takes one coat to get a really thick, opaque layer and it dries so quickly. I don't know if that's because it's a matte finish? It's very chip resistant keeps it's bright colour for ages.

Repurchase? Yes.

What are your perfect summer colours?

'Purple Blue' by Models Own

As you all probably know, I'm a big lover of Models Own. Especially the nail varnishes, they're such a win when it comes to value for money. This was one of my first from Models Own but I've gone through a stage of not using it. I rediscovered it however before a dinner party I was going to. I can honestly say I've missed this bad boy. It's part of the Beetlejuice collection so it's more of a shimmery, pearlescent finish than the normal colours but I really like that. It's perfect for a night out! So what's wrong with it? As much as I love this polish, it's a bugger to put on. It takes about 3 layers to make it look opaque because it's pretty sheer and even then it still chips. And it doesn't dry quickly either which is also really annoying. Especially for people like me who can't sit still! I'd definitely recommend it though if you've got the time and patience to keep topping up.

Repurchase? Yes.

Are you a fan of the Beetlejuice collection?

Indie Chic Jewellery

I was lucky enough to be contacted by a company called Indie Chic Jewellery the other week, asking if I would like to do a review. So I had a little browse around the site and really liked the look of this cross bracelet*, so simple but would lool great on its own. Only £4.99 as well so bit of a bargain, and it's free delivery as well.. double bargain! Definitely go check out their site, really cute stuff on there and for only a few quid! The quality is pretty good as well, the chain doesn't seem like it's gonna break anytime soon!

My Thoughts: Topshop Lip Stick in 'Hedonist'

I haven't done a review in ageeeeeeees, and when I picked this up from Topshop the other day I thought it would be a good product to review. With lipsticks I tend to sway more towards the orangey colours, rather than pinks and this stood out to me straight away. Like the name suggests, it's a deep orangey red colour, so perfect for summer! It's super long lasting and so pigmented which is what I love the most. But with long-lasted-ness (new word I've just created) also comes dryness, I find this so drying on my lips so I definitely recommend fixing your lips up a bit before wearing it. I'd 100% recommend this and for £7 it's hardly gonna break the bank, there are so many colours to choose from as well. Next on my list is to try the lip bullets.

Repurchase? Yes.

Pretty Please...

I'm after a lot this month to say the least. Summer's coming up so what's wrong with buying new clothes eh? Even after my big spend last week! I've also stumbled into a lot of designer gear at the moment and would love to share with you what I'm after. I've found a lot of this on Stylight which is such a great site, so much on there and so many labels ranging from AX Paris and Vans to Marc Jacobs and Moschino (LOVE LOVE LOVE). It's also my new place to go for trainers, you know I love my trainers and they have soooo many to choose from. I couldn't ask more really!

So what do you think of my picks?

Cut Out

More neon? Yes. I'm loving neon at the moment and this top (although you can't really see) makes me look so tanned which is just what I need at this time of the year. This is a pretty casj outfit, just wore it to a girls night where we had some yummy pizza and drinks!

Bits I Bought: June

Once again the spending ban didn't go to plan and I ended up splurging around eighty quid the other day, woops. But I feel like I've done well? Zara and Primark were on form whereas Topshop let me down a bit, yet I still found a way to spend money in there!

So I only got a couple of things from H&M (ones down the bottom) but it's probably the best deal of the day. It's this really flattering, green, slightly sheer dress with a hi-low hem and elasticated waist. It's going to be perfect for summer, with some casj sandals. Now here's the exciting bit, it was only £10.

By the time I had got to Zara I had already spent quite a bit of dollar, so I had to resist the temptation of all the neon and jungle print clothes. This was hard, very hard. So I just picked up this neon yellow, cut out shoulder tee which was £16 which is pretty expensive for just a cut out but I know I'll be wearing this non stop in summer and it makes me look so tanned as well. That's always a bonus!

I spent more than I expected in Primark because it's just so good for basics and I love my basics! So I picked up this grey jersey maxi dress for £8, I can't wait to layer with this! A couple of low armed vest tops to wear with bandeaus, they'll be great for colour blocking and they're only £2.50 each which is so worth it. I saw this stripey vest top for £5 in the mens section and it reminded me so much of a top I saw in AA so for like a fraction of the price I had to get it.

These groovy shorts are also from Primark and only £4.. How can you say no?

I'm obsessed with Real Techniques, it's no secret. So I had to get the Starter Set as I'm venturing into the world of eyeshadow a bit more, and I hear the Deluxe Crease Brush is really good for under eye concealer. This gold cuff is from H&M for around £5 I think, bit of an impulse purchase really! Does anyone else get those?

I also bought the Topshop Lip Stick in Hedonist which is such a great colour for summer, can't wait to wear it but I left it at my friends house, woops.

So what shops are you loving at the moment?

What's in my bag?

I've only just realised that I've never done this before, so here we go, what's in my bag? So the bag I'm using most at the moment is my neon clutch (with gold chain) from Deena & Ozzy at Urban Outfitters which is surprisingly roomy despite being quite small.

So of course I've got my phone and purse in here which are kinda the essentials to this tag. My iPhone case is from eBay, as is my little tribal coin purse thing. My card holder is from the Topshop sale like years ago and you may be wondering why I don't just have a purse to throw it all in well.. I do have a Ted Baker bubblegum pink purse but as you can imagine, it doesn't actually fit in this very flat bag!

It's actually sunny at the moment so I'm carrying my Raybans around. I don't tend to carry make up around with me so I've just got whatever concealer I use that day and a nail file in case I get bored and decide to whack it out! Also for smelly things, I just have a Ted Baker mini sample thing.

I'd like to say I'm extremely organised. But I'm not. That's why I carry this bad boy around with me, my little notebook/diary/filofax thing where I jot down any random inspiration or things to do or whatever! And earphones of course for catching the bus or work or whenever I feel like playing some Two Door Cinema Club or Imagine Dragons.

I literally have like chronic hayfever so I always carry tissues wherever I go and then there's paracetamol just to be on the safe side of any situation. I'll be completely honest, I didn't actually realise I had hairbands in here, or my mirror but I guess they're handy eh?

So what do you always have in your bag?

Beauty Wishlist: June

I admit, there have been a lot of wishlists coming from my way in the past few weeks, but I can't help it. I'm in a splurging mood, maybe I should cut down on my online shopping? Here are a few beauty bits which I'm after this month, nothing too expensive so why don't you give them a go as well?

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7

I'm sure you all know that I love Models Own and I discovered 'Utopia' which I've fallen in love with, and it looks like it would make you seem more tanned. I'm a very pasty person so this polish might be necessary. #6 is a corrector/concealer thingy which I wanna try out, it's only £3.75 so what's the worst that could happen?

Top 3: Real Techniques Brushes

I'm a massive fan of Real Techniques brushes. It's not really the worlds biggest secret to be honest. They're just so soft and affordable and yummy and look so nice on my makeup table and do you want me to go on? Today I bring you my top 3 brushes out of 8 that I own so it was pretty hard to whittle it down to just these bad boys. I recommend these brushes to any makeup newbie's or just anyone in general who's after some new brushes.

This is perfect for applying either face powder, bronzer or blush (depending on what part of the brush you use) and it doesn't pick up too much product which is always good when you don't wanna cake yourself in it. It's pretty big and soft and gives such an even coverage with the powder you use.

I use this diddy little thing for my concealer, it's more precise than the pointed foundation brush so I find it gives a more flawless finish when I dab my Lasting Perfection concealer into my skin. It was really cheap as well, like £8 which is pretty good for a perfect concealer brush. I haven't used it as it's primary function of actual eye makeup yet but when I do, I'll give you the low down ;) Only bad thing is that it gets dirty pretty easily, or that may just be my concealer..

Once I started using this, I never turned back to my old ELF stippling brush when it came to foundation. It gives such a flawless finish when you take the time to buff your foundation in properly and is too soft for words to even describe. It's quite dense so I find it hard to multitask with this brush and use it for blush or anything but it's great at what it's supposed to be used for so that's all that matters.

Do you use Real Techniques brushes? What are your favourite brush brands?
