My Thoughts: Revlon Nail Enamel in 'Dreamer'

I bought this off eBay a couple of months ago for no more than £3 which is a massive improvement on it's price in Boots (around £6). But you can definitely tell it's an eBay purchase even though I love the powdery/cornflower blue colour which fits in with my blog colour scheme haha. I wonder if the polishes off eBay have something done to them? My Models Own ones were very gloopy, this ones very watery, but my Essie one seems to be fine! It's this watery consistency which makes it very hard to apply and you need at the very least 2 coats to make it opaque. And for those with longer nails it takes even more coats as it looks kinda transparent where the nail goes over the end of the finger (does this make any sense?) It also chips so easily, I had to take it off after 3 days as my nails were just so chipped I couldn't bear to look at them. I'm afraid to say the only good thing about this polish is the colour, so disappointed but maybe I should've bought it from the drugstore?

Ooh a lot of Topshop I've got on today, woops! This is what I wore when I went on a family trip to Whitstable on the coast of Kent on a very very sunny day. We hit up the Lobster Shack which is a really nice fish restaurant, bit expensive but so yummy (I recommend moules in marinere sauce with chips.. so buff). So definitely go there if you're in the area! Today I've got my trusty dungz on with a simple graphic tee and a tied up check shirt with my new Chicago Bulls snapback which was a present, so pleased with it!

MUA Purchases

Fashionista Supermodel Lengthening Mascara
Fashionista Maxi Volume Mascara

I had severe make up cravings the other day and decided to browse MUA, I ended up spending £10 but I think that's pretty damn good for 5 things! Don't you? Everything was from the sale apart from the Power Pout which was a pretty steep £3 for MUA standards but hopefully it'll be worth it! At first glance it seems very shiny though which I don't tend to go for but mehhhh we'll see how it goes! The foundation packaging seems very similar to MAC. It's a really high end matte glass bottle which makes you go cold when you run your nails down it which reminds me of some of the higher end foundation bottles. It was £10 down to £3 in the sale so I just had to get it, reviews will be coming soon for all of these! The mascaras were a good bargain as well, £1.50 each I think, and the lengthening one seems pretty alright! I'd definitely recommend you go check out the sale they have at the moment, so much stuff is down to a pound. A POUND.

My Thoughts: Elegant Touch Nail Spray

I really hate painting my nails, like seriously.. It's such a chore and I don't stop fidgeting so it ends up absolutely everywhere. I remember seeing the Avon Freeze Spray thingy on Sprinkle of Glitter's channel but I never seem to find that so when I saw this nail drying spray in Boots I had to pick it up, and it was only like £3. At first, I really hated this, it didn't seem to work for me but now I've got the hang of it. The trick is to paint a layer of nail varnish then spray then another coat then spray which I wasn't doing at first. That way it works! Although it does feel very greasy on your hands for a while so I tend to swish my hands around in cold water for a bit afterwards.

Topshop Wishlist: August

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7

I haven't done a Topshop wishlist in so long. And I've found myself adding a lot into my bag despite the small matter that I can't actually afford any of it recently so I thought I'd share a few of my favourites with you. First is this pH reacting lip balm which changes to the perfect pinky colour on yours lips, or so I've heard. It's a pretty steep £9 but I'm willing to spend that to try it! Second is this amazing jumpsuit, which is under £40 - pretty good for Topshop I'd say? This bikini seems perfect for summer, it's probably a bit late by now but I still love it and the lime/white colour would bring out a tan! I've been after some nude platform/heels for ages and I know these are £60 but I really like the wood combo.. No. 5, probably the item most likely for me to buy, they remind me of furry Timberlands and will be perfect for AW. I really like the colour of this knit, with a pair of dark jeans, the boots and a casj beanie, I can see it being an AW essential! Last but not least this bronzer/blusher, it looks so pretty and I haven't tried out any Topshop face products yet so I'd love to give it a go! So what are you loving at the moment?

Topshop Cami Dupes

So I'm sure you would've all seen the Topshop chiffon cami strappy tops which are flying about at the moment? Well they're a pretty steep £18 which most of us can't afford to keep repurchasing, even though we love them. When I was in New Look the other day, this bright red cami caught my eye and before I knew it I had already picked up all 3 camis which were in the shop. The quality is just as good as the Topshop ones and the best bit is that they're only a tenner! I'd definitely recommend these although I find they come up quite small so maybe get a size up?

My Thoughts: MAC Paintpot in 'INDIANWOOD'

Unfortunately this is not my paintpot, sad face. This is mi madre's but I may have to steal it from her since I'm quite literally in love with it! The colour looked absolutely atrocious in the swatch I took so the best way to see the colour is from the picture above. It's a really pretty bronzey gold colour with subtle shimmer. One of my favourite things about this product is that it doesn't crease, and lasts for ages! I find the formula quite creamy but it still applies really well onto the lid and can be blended easily using just a fingertip or a brush. I do sometimes find it a bit of a struggle to get off, especially if I've used a primer that day. This is around £15 I think but there are some great dupes out there as well which include the Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoos and 17 Wild Metallic Cream Shadows which are both under a fiver!

Disco

The sun is out. I repeat, the sun is out. It's been crappy weather for a few days but I'm so glad the sun has decided to shine on results day. It's exactly what we need to give us a boost after opening our AS results. Mine weren't too bad, I don't think. So to celebrate I'm going out tonight and this is what I'm wearing. My new bright red disco pants from Motel Rocks which only cost £5.60 after I used my store credit (20% off use 'therawrdrobe' at the checkout) and it's the best £5.60 I've ever spent! These are sooooo much better than the black disco pants, I love them dearly but these have knocked them off the top spot. They're stretchier aka easier to get into, easier to move in and I don't feel like I'm about to burst out of them even though they're both XS. I could go on about these all day but I'll leave it at that but I'd definitely recommend you check them out, they've got them in blue, purple, black and red so there are plenty of amazing colours to choose from!

Disco Pants - Motel Rocks
Bomber Jacket - Boohoo
Cami - New Look
Converse - Office
Necklace - Kukee
Sunglasses - eBay

Hope everyone's results went well!

Best of eBay #5

Wow it's been a long time since I did my last eBay post.. I've been a bit of an eBay addict recently so I thought I'd share a few of the things I've had my eye on! I found this bracelet very similar to the Topshop one which I quite fancy, even if it is a tad creepy and these Essie polishes! My favourite colours I found are Mojito Madness and Fear & Desire, both very summery and only a few quid each! If you've seen my recent haul then you would've seen my new bomber jacket and I'll admit to you that I'm now hooked! So I've got this amazing stripey monochrome bomber tucked away in my watch list. These chelsea boots are so cheap and cheerful, and I'm sure they'll last a few months at least! And of course the classic blogosphere Zara skort, but I in fact really like the royal blue one, perfect for the end of summer parties!

My Thoughts: eBay Blush Palette

Before I say anything else, I will just say for now that you need to buy this palette. 10 amazing colours for less than £5, I'm not kidding. Okay, they're not the most long lasting colours ever but they're pretty damn pigmented for the very cheap price! There are so many pretty colours in this palette (my favourites being numbers 1 and 5) including subtle shimmers and really shimmery ones. They don't break me out either, I've been using them for a while and I haven't noticed any change in my skin which you wouldn't expect for the price! Most of the lighter shades can double up as highlighters as well, which I tend to use them for, the shades I'd recommend for highlighting are numbers 2, 6 and 10. Overall I'd say these are a must have purchase and for under a fiver you really can't go wrong!

Repurchase? Yes.

***DISCLAIMER***
Apparently this palette contains lead, arsenic, mercury and other really bad ingredients which are pretty harmful so it may not be a good idea to buy these, I still like it nonetheless!

Bits I Bought: August

I've been spending loaaaaaads recently, like way too much money. I was planning on doing a masssive haul but then me being me, I forgot what I had actually bought (nice one Katy). So today I bring you a small haul of what I've purchased in the last week or so!

I've never really been that into bomber jackets until I saw this one in the Boutique section of Boohoo, it was only £25 and I love it! The material seems a bit thin but it's so easy to wear and perfect for chilly evenings. If you're a fan of bombers I definitely suggest this!

This is one of the knock off ones from eBay, it was £8 but I shouldn't have bothered.. It's huge!

I've been in need of some lounge around black leggings for ages and these seem very similar to my Jack Wills ones so I ordered them. They're slightly see through but not too bad for chilling at home!

I love this top, been wearing it non stop since I got it. It's so comfortable and so versatile - shorts, dungarees, skirt, jeans, leggings, anything!

This was only £4 on Boohoo so I thought why not? But trying it on, it does seem very blingy, not too sure about it now!

I did actually buy these for only £25 in the sale off the Reebok site after seeing them on the Ugly Face of Beauty. I know they look a bit garish at first but they're so comfy and look great with a monochrome outfit.

So there are my recent purchases, and once again I'll attempt another spending ban! Don't forget to check out my giveaway as well, a MAC lipstick of your choice is up for grabs so why not eh? Hope everyone's still enjoying summer!

Oh My Love Purchase

I couldn't believe my luck a few weeks ago when two of the dresses I had my eye on hit the sale on the Oh My Love site. With massive reductions I had to get them both instantly and I'm so glad I did. The black maxi one was down from £45 to £12 and the short colourful one down from £39 to £12, a saving of £60 isn't too shabby. I'm hoping to wear the maxi one at my school house dinner next year as it's so perfectly fitting, really flattering and the slits in the side up to the knee make your legs look a-ma-zing. The second dress will look great in summer for like a casual bbq with sandals or dressed up with some nude heels for a dinner. So versatile! There are loads of other amazing dresses in the sale and after this purchase I can safely say that I'm in love with Oh My Love.

My Thoughts: Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadowsticks

Yanno when you just have the urge to splurge on makeup? Well I had that the other day, really badly. And ended up splashing out just under £15 on Rimmel's popular Shadow Sticks. I bought 3 shades; 'Bad Bronze' which is a dark glittery, bronzy colour; 'Bulletproof Beige' which is a shimmery, rose goldy, beige colour and 'Paranoid Purple' which is a really vibrant purple. They're £4.49 each but for a product like this I'd expect the price to be a lot higher. They're all really soft and creamy and apply really smoothly onto the lid without over applying if that makes any sense (because they're so pigmented)? Once on the lid they blend easily with a brush (I use my Real Techniques Base Shadow Brush and Deluxe Crease Brush) or with just your finger. They're long lasting but end up creasing without the use of a primer. What I love the most is that they can be worn just on their own (which I like to do) with lashings of mascara or you can use them as an eyeshadow base so it's a good old multi-functional product. Now the bad things, they break so easily as you can tell from the top picture the middle one (Bad Bronze) is broken and broke on my first try of using it which was so disappointing and the worst thing? I can't find my pencil sharpener! Another thing I noticed is that when using the more glittery pencils under the eyes, it irritates the waterline quite a bit. I found my eyes went quite red and blotchy so next time I'll just keep it to the top lid!
