'Grace Green' by Models Own

I was dubious when I first saw the colour of this after mama bought it for £2 from TK MAXX but since applying it, it's quickly become my favourite Models Own nail polish. It's a grey/ teal/ greeny colour and will be absolutely perfect in autumn! I think the formula is brilliant - applies evenly, dries quickly and doesn't chip. What more could you ask for?

Also, I'm off to Turkey tomorrow for 10 days with the family to roast in the sun so there's going to be a lack of posts! It's only so I can just chill for a bit before the frantic month of September as that's when my full time blogging really kicks in and I've got lots of stuff going on!

If you wanna see what I'm up to in Turkey then just head over to my twitter or instagram (both @therawrdrobe)!

Shades of Grey

Picked this casual little blazer up in New Look the other day and I'm so impressed for only twenty quid! I'm trying to smarten up my act a bit so I'm currently opting for blazers and some lightweight shirts which I can dress up or down with jewellery or some classic trainers. This feels like my first outfit post in ages but there's plenty more to come!

Summer Brights

Brights and neons are without a doubt my favourite colours to wear in the warmer months on my nails. They're the definition of summer in the beauty world and this Models Own collection is where I tend to reach for my go-to summer colours. My favourite is 'Toxic Apple' and the matte finish makes me love it even more, perfect on fingers and toes and so chip resistant you would not believe. I definitely recommend trying out the Models Own Ice Neon Collection and if you're after a cheaper purchase then head over to the beauty sale on ASOS to find these at half price!

The Must Have Hair Product

I can't believe it took me so long to buy one of these. It's honestly the best money I've ever spent on a hair product. My hair is naturally very thick and tangles easily. It also has a tendency to form dreadlocks at the back of my head so brushing my hair properly is a vital part of my hair routine.

The bristles of the brush vary in length which makes it glide through your hair so effortlessly and painlessly without pulling at your hair. It can be used on wet or dry hair which I think is perfect, especially as it removes tangles so easily without breaking or damaging the hair. I can tell after using this for only a few weeks that my hair condition is so much better! Another bonus is the size, being small it means it's easy to slip in your bag! The only downside is there's no handle which sometimes makes it hard to use, especially when it's wet as it often slips out of my hand. Next up to try is the Michel Mercier Detangling Brush! So do you think the tangle teezer is worth the hype?

My Trip to Mevagissey

As you may know by my Instagram, I've just spent the last week in Mevagissey which is a little fishing village in Cornwall full of pubs, seagulls and fishermen. As you can tell from the photos, there are probably more boats than people but I think I quite like that. We spent most of the week eating ice cream (honeycomb of course) and attempting to crab although we only caught five fish. And yes, I mean fish not crabs. We also bought knock off penny boards so in a few months time I'll be a pro (or maybe not). Mine is the blue and yellow one in the middle and surprisingly I've picked it up pretty quickly and had no injuries yet! Touch wood. On our last day we also went on a flowrider machine which was one of the funniest things I've ever done and I definitely recommend it if you're near one! If you wanna see anything else I got up to then just check my instagram (@therawrdrobe).

Going Out Face

Before a night out, I always reach for my MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage which gives me the perfect base for my Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation (RT Expert Face Brush). Once again I conceal any blemishes with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (Zoeva 110 Face Shape Brush) and dust over my face with the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural (RT Blush Brush). Now this is the fun part.. As I do for my everyday makeup, I bronze up my face with the MUA Bronzed Perfection and then use the Sleek Face Form to contour the s*** out of my cheeks, jaw line and nose (RT Contour Brush and Shading Brush). I then use my Superdry Highlighter and RT Setting Brush to highlight the bridge of my nose, brow bone and top of the cheek bones - it's such a pretty colour.

To prevent my eyeshadow from creasing, I always slap on some of Benefit's Lemon Aid Eyelid Primer before applying the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadowstick in 'Bad Bronze' all over my lids with the RT Deluxe Crease Brush. I then run the bronze Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner over my lower lash line and add some black Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner to my tightline and waterline. I use my Benefit Magic Ink to create cateye shape eyeliner and curl my lashes with some retro Tweezerman eyelash curlers. With loads and loads of lashings of Benefit's They're Real Mascara and my eyes are finally done. For my brows I use the Sleek Brow Kit to create HD brows which are a lot bolder than my normal day to day brows.

As I mentioned last time, I'm not very much of a lipstick gal so there are only a few lipsticks I trust. The main one being MAC's Russian Red which is the only lipstick I will ever wear on a night out!

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion +

I was so disappointed with this product at first. It completely broke me out with big red boil things - grim, I know. I persevered though just to see if my skin would calm down but unfortunately it didn't so this is a no go product for me. However, it feels light on the skin and the smallest amount goes a long way but the greasiness doesn't appeal to me and makes my pores feel clogged up. It also provides an awful base for makeup as the grease mixed with foundation makes it go quite streaky. I will admit though, it feels moisturizing on the skin and clears up dry patches very quickly but I'm afraid that's not worth it for the spots I get in return!
