Top 5 Real Techniques Brushes

There's one brush brand that we all know and love and that ladies and gentlemen is Real Techniques. Their affordable yet high quality brushes have impressed us all and I don't know one beauty blogger who doesn't own any of their products! Today I'm sharing with you my top five Real Techniques brushes and why I love them. Enjoy!

Expert Face Brush.
I've used this brush religiously since it came out and I think I'll continue to use it until the bristles all fall out! It's dense which makes it perfect for buffing in my foundation and smaller than the Buffing Brush so it fits my face much better.

Blush Brush.
I didn't really get on with the Powder Brush from Real Techniques as I found it too big so instead I started using the Blush Brush to apply powder. It's the right size for my face and doesn't apply too much product so I look cakey and I think it's only a tenner.. Bargain?!

Deluxe Crease Brush.
This is such a versatile brush and I just don't know what I'd do without it, as dramatic as that sounds! I use it for concealer as it's a dense dome shape so it blends like a dream. My only criticism about this that it's not sold individually which is a bit of a bummer as I'd love to repurchase a few more but I can't!

Flat Contour Brush (review here).
I recently wrote a review on this brush which is essentially a paragraph of me rambling about how much I love it. It's an unusual shape brush for the drugstore but it's the perfect addition to your brush collection if you're expanding!

Setting Brush.
This is the brush I take around with me everywhere. It's great for little powder top ups because it's so small and nifty so it doesn't take up a lot of space in your bag. I tend to use this for blending in under eye concealer and applying highlighter but it's such a versatile brush so it's good for anything.

Next on my Real Techniques wishlist is the Miracle Complexion Sponge which I've heard incredible things about! I've also got my eye on a couple of the Bold Metals Collection brushes including the Tapered Blush Brush and the Oval Shadow Brush!

The Bomber Jacket

FEATURED: BOOHOO BOMBER JACKET, TOPSHOP CAMI (SIMILAR), RIVER ISLAND JEANS, TOPSHOP SLIP ONS (SIMILAR), ASOS SUNGLASSES*, CHANEL BAG, MICHAEL KORS WATCH

For the past two years this bomber has been my spring/summer staple. I've worn it countless times and it's so versatile, I can't let it go. Today I've just thrown it on top of a cami and some jeans as it's sunny but still chilly when the wind blows. I'm also wearing my ASOS sunnies which I received from them last year when I joined #AccessAllASOS. I can't believe I've never featured them on my blog before as I wear them non stop and they definitely replaced my Raybans when I got them!

Serozinc - Worth the hype?

I received this product in a goody bag when I attended the Serozinc launch in London back in December. I don't know why it's taken me so long to post about it but I'm finally writing a review on it despite that everyone and their mum already has!

I use this toner after my cleanser by simply just spraying it on my face although if you prefer you can spray it onto a cotton pad and apply it that way. I then apply the Effaclar Duo [+] to blemishes which works so well in conjunction with Serozinc. I saw noticeable results after a week or so of using it, my skin was so much clearer and I didn't really feel the need to use spot treatments as often. Now I tend not to use this everyday but in times of need I always reach for this. It's soothing on the skin which means it doesn't irritate your face when you're in the middle of a breakout and it's nice and refreshing as well.

So how does it work? Serozinc is made up from just three ingredients: water, sodium chloride and zinc sulphate. This makes it perfect for both oily and blemish prone skin as well as sensitive skin.

My only issue with this is that I feel like it comes out more like a heavy spray than a fine mist so my face can feel quite wet but luckily the solution sinks in quickly so I can crack on with the rest of my skincare routine.

It's so affordable as well, £8.50 (150ml) is such a reasonable price and most of the time it's reduced on the Escentual website. If I were you I'd try and get my hands on this quickly, it's definitely worth the hype!

Century of Anarchy

FEATURED: TOPSHOP TREGGINGS, TOPSHOP TOP, MANGO LEATHER JACKET (SIMILAR), ALDO BOOTS, MULBERRY BACKPACK

The weather in the UK now is way too warm to be wearing an outfit like this surprisingly but this was in fact taken a few weeks back when it was still rainy and super cold! I thought I'd share it with you anyway as this was one of my go to outfits over the colder months and as you may already know, I love these boots to pieces!

Birthday Wishlist

FEATURED: RAYBAN SUNGLASSES (NOT EXACT), MICHAEL KORS CARD HOLDER, MODELS OWN NAIL VARNISHES IN 'TROPICAL GREEN' AND 'MIDSUMMER MAUVE', PUMA TRAINERS, CALVIN KLEIN UNDERWEAR, RIVER ISLAND ARM BAND, REAL TECHNIQUES OVAL SHADOW BRUSH, TOPSHOP DRESS, TOO FACED BETTER THAN SEX MASCARA, MAC MSF SOFT AND GENTLE

I genuinely can't believe it's my 19th birthday already. It feels like only yesterday I turned 18 as cringey as that sounds and I can't even begin to comprehend that I'll be in my twenties soon! Here's a rough idea of what I'm asking for this year, I'm not expecting all of it (obvs) but I like to give my mum a big list and then leave it to her to cut it down. Top of my list though is probably the Calvin Klein underwear and the Michael Kors travel card holder as we all know I love a bit of MK!

Relax

FEATURED: PRIMARK JUMPER, TOPSHOP TROUSERS, TOPSHOP SLIP ONS (SIMILAR), BRIXTON BEANIE, MULBERRY BACKPACK, MICHAEL KORS WATCH

You know when you just have those days where you wanna chill out and relax. Well that's how Ii was feeling when I threw this outfit together. I only wore this to run some errands but it's still nice to feel comfy right? I've had these harems for a while now and they're basically my idea of stylish trackies so you know when I'm in a lazy mood when I'm wearing these!

Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Flat Contour Brush

I knew when the latest Real Techniques collection came out that I had to buy something. Since they're so expensive I decided to go for the only brush which I haven't already got something similar to. So I decided on the 301 Flat Contour Brush. It's really dense which makes it perfect for blending and the shape of it also creates a precise line of contour. As with all Real Techniques brushes, it's super soft and can be used with both cream and powder products. I can't recommend this enough!
