The title says it all really, I’ve graduated! After nine long months, which I know seems like nothing compared to uni students, I’ve got my Executive PA Diploma with Distinction with Honours. I am so chuffed and really cannot wait now to get out into the big wide world of adult life. I’m now free from education for the meantime and itching to get back into blogging and looking for a job which you would know if you’ve read my last blog post in my ‘Becoming an Adult’ series.
I wasn’t as nervous as I thought I was going to be on Graduation Day, that’s until I tripped up in my heels in the middle of the restaurant that not only my family, but several other families were eating lunch at. I’d like to say I styled it out as I wobbled through the middle the diners but that would be lying. The lady who completely fell over and hit the ground shortly after though did make me feel much better about myself so thank you to whoever that poor woman was. I did manage to get through my whole ceremony without falling over and the first thing I said to my tutor on stage was ‘I haven’t fallen over yet’ to which she chuckled.
After an overwhelming and emotional day, the car was packed and it was time to return to our little village in Kent. It felt weird saying goodbye to the house (you know like you do when you’re a kid) but I’m so glad to be home. What I’m not glad about is that Mum’s going to tell me what to do now and being a new independent woman, I’m not used to it! Maybe that could expressed as a whole blog post in itself!
So, I guess the pre-graduation stress is the reason why I haven’t been blogging much recently so apologies for that! But with report deadlines, dress decisions and end of year celebrations, there’s just been too much going on! I just wanted to get this short post up though to let you know I’m back in business and can’t wait to get back into the swing of everything again.
Have you graduated this year? How do you feel about it? What’s next for you?
